The 2026 Global Investment Promotion Conference for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) will open in Guangzhou on November 3 under the theme "Invest the Greater Bay Area for a Brighter Future."
This year's conference marks a significant milestone, celebrating five years of the GBA's global investment promotion initiative while coinciding with the start of China's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030). Aligning with the GBA's strategic positioning as a strategic fulcrum of China's new development paradigm, a demonstration zone for high-quality development, and a pioneer of Chinese modernization, the event aims to deepen collaboration among Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao and further establish the conference as a globally influential investment promotion platform. It will showcase the region's economic vitality, innovation capabilities, regional appeal, and investment potential while strengthening industrial cooperation and resource sharing with other major bay areas worldwide and countries and regions participating in the Belt and Road Initiative.
The conference also reflects the three regions' commitment to advancing China's opening-up agenda and supporting multinational companies in expanding their presence in the Chinese market.
